The farm’s newest project is the Lowensvlei School of Floristry located on the farm.  Here Commercial Floristry courses (beginners, intermediate and advanced levels) are presented for those wanting to start a career in the industry, or for florists wanting to train their staff. 

A variety of ‘Floristry for Fun’ courses are also presented for those wanting to improve their skills in flowers arranging for the home, church or for competitions.

The Lowensvlei School of Floristry is also the birthplace of the ‘Dignity through Flowers’ programme whereby abused women and young people identified by the police are trained in the basics of floristry. 

The objective is to develop a sense of self-worth, and a possibility of income generation in their communities.
